Game 1 - Toledo

ROAD TRIP!

What a way to start the season with a road trip to beautiful Toledo, OH?! This is a revenge trip though, as we look to even the score with Toledo – they handed Joe Tiller his first loss as the Boilermaker boss way back in 1997 at the Glass Bowl.

We’re going to stay over two nights and hit a Mudhens game on Sunday night. Golfers may want to think about bringing their clubs and we can hit the local links on Sunday morning.

9:00 a.m. Depart Chicago – Meet at Eric & Paula’s (Time CDT)
3:00 p.m. Arrive in Toledo, Check In (Time EDT)
4:00 p.m. Depart for Tailgating
7:00 p.m. Kick Off

We will plan to meet the people traveling up from Indy at the hotel on Saturday afternoon. Greg is bringing the tent up so that we don't have to swelter out in the sun while we tailgate. We will likely hit the Toledo “hot spots” after the game.

The tee time has been set up for 1 foursome at Ottawa Park Golf Course. (Keith, Grady, Eric, and Greg are committed to playing.) If we need a second foursome we can do that. The course rents clubs at no fee; basically the bag is a mish mash of whatever they have laying around.

Based on last year’s information for Toledo Football we will be able to park in Areas 1S and 2 in quadrant E 1. We can also park in Area 19 and 23 in quadrant E ¾. The final options are Areas 25 and 26 in quadrant A 4 / B 3.

We will be coming in off of Bancroft so we’ll probably want to park in Area 1S.
